Studies have shown that when a chickens diet consists of corn and soy, (even if organic) this depletes the vitamins and minerals in eggs, which means the pricey eggs at the grocery store are not as nutritionally dense. The majority of eggs sold in the grocery stores contain corn and soy, which is primarily what chickens are fed.
