New! Little Cottage Farmstand Journal
Hey Neighbor! I am Susan, the owner and founder of Coastal Farm and Gardens. I started a blog! This is where you will find the latest news, updates, and insights from Coastal Farm and Gardens, specifically about our small urban farm, gardens, and of course the Little Cottage Farmstand. The farmstand is the heart of it all. This is where we get to meet our amazing customers in our community, our neighbors, and new friends!
Today's journal entry is about new products that we are introducing to the farmstand. We have been curating our menu behind the scenes for some time. We have made the recipes, indulged in the taste tests, and are adding new products based on our inspiration and creativity.
Two new products are coming to the farmstand in the near future. We have a signature chocolate chip cookie that is unapologetically named the "Colossal". It is a large cookie, made with organic ingredients, as this is our passion, whether we are growing vegetables, raising chickens for their eggs, or making delicious and indulgent treats, we will always choose organic ingredients first. If we are unable to find a suitable organic choice, we will get the next best available option. We reach out to other local farmers in the area as a resource so that we are getting the best, clean options available.
The second new product we are bringing to our menu, is an Oatmeal Cream Pie. We need to talk about it, because this is one that is a special indulgence and it's memorable. We make this inviting dessert sandwich with organic old fashioned rolled oats, the kind that grandma has in the kitchen cabinet. I don't know about you, but these remind us of childhood, visiting grandma. She was in the kitchen a lot, and the only time she didn't have her apron on was when she was at church. There is just something special about the way things used to be, and we wanted to bring back some of those good times, and some good old-fashioned treats!
Check out these two new products, the photos and descriptions. We are offering these as individual one serving items, but if you are feeling generous, they can be shared with someone else. Obviously, it will be with someone you like and care about to share something so special and delicious!
We hope to see you around the farmstand soon, and until then, come visit us here at our blog and see what we are getting ourselves into next!
If you're looking for me, I will be in the garden with my chickens. - Susan
